We had the opportunity to learn about the structure and services provided by the Tartu Welcome Centre and discussed potential collaboration opportunities to support our communities.

Radio Dictation at the Ukrainian Center in Pärnu
Read moreIn celebration of Ukrainian Literature and Language Day, the Ukrainian Center in Pärnu participated in the nationwide Radio Dictation of National Unity today, October 25. First launched in 2000, this annual dictation event, often regarded as the largest fall flash mob, is a cherished tradition that unites Ukrainian speakers around the world.
Composed of 100–120 words, each year’s dictation is meticulously crafted, focusing on clarity and accessibility, yet still challenging participants to avoid mistakes.

New Vocal Group for Kids at the Ukrainian Center Pärnu!
Read moreWe are excited to announce the launch of a new vocal group for children at the Ukrainian Center Pärnu! This long-awaited event is perfect for young talents aged 4 and up who are eager to explore the world of singing and music. Now is the time to help your child develop their musical abilities and experience the joy of creative expression!
What does the course offer:
- Vocal development: Training in proper singing techniques, developing voice, hearing, and breathing.
- Performing Ukrainian songs: Children will learn and perform both traditional and modern Ukrainian songs.
- Christmas performance preparation: The group will prepare for the Christmas holidays, where they’ll showcase their talents in a festive program.
- Participation in city concerts: Children will have the opportunity to perform at public events, sharing their talents with the community.
Who will lead the sessions? The course is led by Marina Bykovets, an experienced vocal coach, choir artist, and laureate of national and international competitions. Marina has many years of experience working with children and brings a professional and passionate approach to music education.
When and where? The first free trial session will take place: 🗓 Saturday, October 12, at 15:30 📍 Location: Ukrainian Center Pärnu, Lai 14, 2nd floor.

New English Language Course for Adults Launched at the Ukrainian Centre in Pärnu
Read moreWe are excited to announce the launch of a new** English language course for adults** at the Ukrainian Centre in Pärnu! This course is perfect for those who want to start learning English from scratch or improve their basic knowledge.
Course Format Classes will take place twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 17:00 to 18:30. The schedule is designed to allow participants to balance their studies with work or other commitments.
The course will be led by experienced instructor Victoria Kuzmenko, who has many years of teaching experience and a track record of student success. Under her guidance, participants will gain essential language skills and practical knowledge.
The course covers fundamental language aspects, helps develop communication skills, and aims to overcome language barriers in a friendly and supportive environment.
